First time breastfeeders

I think when your a new mum perserverance is the key to breastfeeding i nearly gave up so many times through not enough support,there is the support if you know where to look.I had cracked nipples then i got mastitis and had that twice i was told not to express till my milk had properly come in at four week it's trash.Express if your boobies if you feel full anytime you like.My healt visitor was fantastic,I've just done the peer support course at Stanley Childrens Centre and being around other Mums were great and would tell anyone to do it.All the other expereience's are great to listen to too.Anyway breastfeeding now is great you can do it anywhere and if i have another despite my teething problems would do it all again.The satisfaction of it and the bonding with your baby is amazing now my little boy is six month soon he all ready eating three meals a day and still having his boobies!!!!!!!!!

I totally agree with what you say about expressing if you feel full, the only time you shouldn't do that is if you want to stop breastfeeding, as it will decrease your milk supply, not something you want when you want to carry on is it?

It's great your boy is doing so well, is he your first?

I recognise your little girl you went to Scotland the other week didn't you i saw you in Boots.I totally agree about the expressing that peer supporter course learnt me alot with Jake being my first.Once link set up for photo's will put some on.I would certainly breast feed again knowing what i know now next time round sure it will be easier.

I didn't go to Scotland, too far for me, I live in the other end of the country in Brighton. Carla must have a secret twin, lol.
