About me and the forum

In case you didn't already know, my name is Jade. I have 2 girls, one who is current 6, and a 4 month old.

I breastfed my eldest daughter until she was 8 months, and am currently exclusively breastfeeding my 4 month old.

I started this forum because I had a bad experience when feeding my eldest daughter, she was slow at gaining weight and I had to switch to mixed feeding, and being pushed to give up breastfeeding altogether. Gladly I didn't and went on until 8 months, but I had no idea what support was out there, and was not told, if I had found a forum like this I believe I would have had a much better time. Feeding this time round and discovering the support available, I realize it could have been much better first time round and it has has made me even more passionate to help others as I never realized it could be such an enjoyable experience.

I am hoping to start training as a breastfeeding counselor, and also want to develop this forum into a website with lots of support and information for other breastfeeding mums, so stick around

I remember it well your little boy will probably be like that a couple of days then it will slow down keep perservering as in the early days it's tough i got mastisis and was horrid and nearly gave up but haven't and he six month tom and eating three or four baby food meals a day and three feeds off me and it does get quicker and easier it's worth all the hard work here for any help i can give you xxx

I'm Cuckoo and I have been recommended this site by a good friend here on MM. I have four children, 3 daughters who are 10, 9 and 6 weeks and a son who is 6.

I joined this mainly as I would like advice on how to keep going on breastfeeding my baby as so far I am enjoying it!
